Textbook reading, translation and short composition

About this course

In Class 6 students must understand textbook stories and poems and translate from Bangla to English. Here we teach text analysis and correct word use, which becomes the base for later classes.

Many of our students find English hard to understand or speak, because they rarely have regular English conversation outside the classroom. In this course we remove that fear and slowly build an easy friendship with the language.

How we teach this class

  • 01 Pre-reading discussion Before a story, children predict from the title and pictures so they read with interest.
  • 02 Translation skills Children learn to translate meaning, not word by word, from Bangla sentences into English.
  • 03 Tenses and articles Short exercises help children find and correct mistakes with tenses and articles.
